About Priscilla

Priscilla's inspiration comes from a variety of sources exploring the concept of identity, memory and nostalgia. She live close to the sea in Lancashire and adore the colours and reflective light that can only be found in a coastal town.

Priscilla has work in both public and private collections and continuously exhibits work nationally and internationally including Japan, Europe and the U.S.A. Her design portfolio includes designing for greeting cards, fashion/interior fabrics and wallpaper.

Priscilla completed my degree in Embroidery at Manchester Metropolitan University in 1997 going on to study for a Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory) in 2003 at the University of Central Lancashire.

Priscilla started teaching in 1997 and has taught in Further, Higher and Adult Education. She also runs independent workshops and regularly teach in secondary schools facilitating workshops based around her personal textile practice. Priscilla enjoys engaging with students and supporting them to achieve their full potential. Watching them develop and grow in their own practice is such a rewarding experience.

From 2003 to 2010 Priscilla had her own gallery in Lancashire featuring both her work and other artists work from a variety of disciplines. The aim of the space was to engage a wider audience to appreciate the applied arts integrated with a programme of creative workshops. Priscilla curated solo and group exhibitions showing artists work from across the UK gaining valuable experience along the way and becoming intimately acquainted with the world of buying and selling art.

Priscilla is also a member of the Crafts Council National Register of Makers and the Freelancers and Practitioners Association.
